Material for the midterm exam
Here is the material to be covered on the midterm, in terms
of section from the
textbook:
- 1.1,1.2 (but not 1.1.5, 1.2.3, or 1.2.4)
- 2.1-2.4 (but not 2.2.1)
- 3.1-3.4
- 4.1-4.5
The exam is closed book and closed notes, and will take 75 minutes.
In general you should concentrate on knowing definitions and using
concepts. There will also be some basic calculations to demonstrate
your understanding of the concepts.
